C'est vrai que la musique psy-trance n'est pas un genre où l'on retrouve beaucoup de producteurs québécois. Mais, en élargissant l'horizon, je devrait être capable de mettre en onde quelques bonnes pièces. Trois noms de projets me viennent rapidement en tête : Soliton, Nuclear Ramjet et Corrupted Suburbs. Corrupted Suburbs n'est pas un projet trance, mais il y existe tout de même une atmosphère psychédélique. C'est mince, mais ce sera tout de même un peu plus bleu qu'à l'habitude.

Avec Crystal Basters paru en 2005 chez le label postugais Crystal Matrix, nous avons une compilation regorgeant de psytrance que l'on appelle «full on». Full, mélodique psytrance ou encore le terme Isa-trance, une série de synonyme, donne une bonne idée du contenu de cet album double. Quand il est question de full on, je ne m'avance à critiquer trop rapidement. Comme le dit le proverbe : Qui aime bien châtie bien, je ne risque pas de bien châtier car je n'aime pas énormément. Je suis capable d'apprécier les plus mélodiques du genre, mais quand une drôle de surenchère d'effets pseudo psychédélique sème la confusion, là, je me détourne rapidement. C'est ce que je déplore du full on israélien. En ce qui concerne ce Crystal Blasters, je trouve qu'il y a un léger manque dans la qualité sonore, est-ce du à des manipulations pour mettre 10 morceaux par CD ? À ne pas manquer sur le CD1 : Talamasca avec Crystal Matrix et X-Noize avec Blind Sopt; sur le CD2 : Xerox and Illumination avec Paranoia et Joti aka Psychaos avec Spinner.
